I was shocked because I had read good reviews about the hotel online. The stale smoke smell was a bit overwhelming. I walked in and the 50 years' worth of people smoking in the room (it's not considered smoke-free) hit me like a brick wall. They put me on the first floor near the elevator. After driving 5 hours, I needed to change clothes and freshen-up a bit, so agreed. The person checking me in stated she had a room, and it would cost $15 extra to check-in early. When I arrived, I did ask for an early check-in. We hope you will give us another opportunity to create a better experience.I was looking forward to a nice get-away for Thanksgiving 2022. We truly appreciate the time you took to share your comments as they do help us to identify areas that need improvement. We will share your comments with our housekeeping and facilities management team so that we can ensure that our restrooms are clean and schedule necessary repairs. We do have a regular maintenance program and special projects in an ongoing effort to keep our property up-to-date, clean and in well-working order.
